First and foremost Ralph over many years had been both photographer and designer for many Michelin star chefs over Europe. It is in these years working side by side with these top chefs that he developed his love for cooking and for plating, the graphic side of cooking is such an important factor in fine gastronomy.
This particular book was inspired by Ralph’s truffle evenings.
When Ralph met Michel Santinelli (President of the regional federation of truffle producers for the region of Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur) in his capacity of cultural journalist, he fell in love with ‘truffles’. He started cooking with truffle for friends in the truffle season (mid jan to mid feb, when they are best) and those evenings would soon become a ritual and a permenant part of his socialising calendar.
Having done several years of truffle evenings Ralph decided to concecrate a book to all those recipes done over the years.
As ausual Ralph wanted it to be an artistic ‘coffee table book’, a book where one can get gastronomic inspiration, but also enjoy the pleasure of discovering the visual content.
